A daylily is not a lily, nor is it a tiger lily. Lilies grow from bulbs, whereas a daylily grows from a root mass. Daylilies are sold in two fan divisions, a fan is one plant. Daylilies are sun lovers, but will tolerate some shade as long as they receive 5 hours of sun daily.
